A public training executive is a professional who is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality and effective public training programs for various audiences, such as individuals, groups, organizations, or communities. A public training executive’s main goal is to provide learning solutions that meet the needs and objectives of the clients and the participants, and to enhance their knowledge, skills, and competencies.

Some of the typical duties of a public training executive are

  1. Conducting training needs analysis and market research to identify the current and future demand and trends in public training.
  2. Developing and managing the public training portfolio, curriculum, content, and delivery methods, in collaboration with internal and external trainers, experts, and partners.
  3. Coordinating and overseeing the logistics, operations, and administration of public training programs, such as budgeting, scheduling, marketing, enrolment, evaluation, and reporting.
  4. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and participants, and providing them with excellent customer service and support.
  5. Evaluating and assessing the effectiveness and impact of public training programs, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  6. Communicating and collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, finance, or IT, to ensure alignment and integration of public training activities with the organizational policies and strategies.

To be a successful public training executive, you need to have the following skills and qualifications

  1. A recognised bachelor’s degree or a 3-year diploma. A professional certification in public training is a plus.
  2. At least 3 years of experience working on a relevant project with an academic institution.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  6. Knowledge of the latest trends, best practices, and standards in public training.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and LMS software.
  8. Willing and able to travel regularly to and from Singapore where required.
