A partnership executive is a professional who is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with other organizations, such as vendors, suppliers, distributors, customers, or competitors. A partnership executive’s main goal is to create value for both parties by aligning their objectives, resources, and capabilities.

Some of the typical duties of a partnership executive are

  1. Identifying potential partners and conducting market research to evaluate their suitability and compatibility.
  2. Negotiating and finalizing partnership agreements, contracts, terms, and conditions.
  3. Managing and overseeing the implementation and execution of partnership projects and initiatives.
  4. Monitoring and evaluating the performance and impact of partnerships, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  5. Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  6. Communicating and collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, product, finance, or legal, to ensure alignment and coordination of partnership activities.

To be a successful partnership executive, you need to have the following skills and qualifications

  1. A recognised bachelor’s degree or a 3-year diploma in the relevant discipline or field of study. A professional certification in partnership management is a plus.
  2. At least 3 years of experience working on a relevant project with an academic institution.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  6. Knowledge of the industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to partnerships.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  8. Willing and able to travel regularly to and from Singapore where required.
